The Open Water Diver course is the first certification that qualifies a diver to procure air, equipment, and other services and engage in recreational open water diving without supervision.
There are six theory lessons, six dives in confined water and four dives in open water.
Upon completion the student will be certified to dive in open water, with an other diver, at the maximum depth of 18 metres.
Minimum age for admission in 12 years. Students between the ages of 10 and 12 achieve the Scuba Diver patent, with which they can dive accompanied by a divemaster or instructor, within the 12 meters depth limit.
